Each year, UPS Airlines joins with the Kentucky Air National Guard to sponsor the “Plane Pull” on the ramp of the Kentucky Air Guard Base in Louisville. Teams of corporate, community and military members raise money for Special Olympics through a contest to see who can pull a UPS airplane the farthest distance down the ramp in a given amount of time.
Many companies provide support to the national project of the United States Marine Corps Reserves known as Toys for Tots. The reservists collect toys—and funds to purchase toys—and distribute them to need children at Christmastime.
