Pray

If your organizational culture includes a spirituality component, it might be quite appropriate to encourage prayer and supportive feelings for your activated employees—and all members of our Armed Forces. This spiritual support could be an individual expression and/or a more formalized gathering. Some companies, owned by devout people, actually begin each day with a few moments of prayer shared by employees.

Be careful not to force this sort of expression on your coworkers. While some are very active in their religious beliefs, others prefer to be more private in their observances. Some people do not espouse religious beliefs or their religious beliefs may not include support of secular issues. Respect all and force no one.
